Dr. Liza Dimaranan is a trusted family eye care provider in Pico Rivera. With over 20 years of experience, she is known for her personalized, patient-first approach and commitment to making high-quality vision care accessible to everyone.
Though she began her career as an aeronautical engineer, she soon realized she wanted a more personal, people-focused profession. “I didn’t want to just sit in a cubicle staring at a computer monitor,” Dr. Dimaranan recalls. “I realized I enjoyed working with my co-workers and having personal interaction with individuals more than anything else.”
That realization led her to pursue optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree. She then gained experience working in private practice for an ophthalmologist before taking over Pico Rivera Optometric Center, where she has been helping families see their best ever since.
Dr. Dimaranan’s passion for interpersonal patient care is at the heart of her practice. “With my own practice, I can emphasize relationships and truly care for my patients. I can make an impact in my patients' lives by helping them see the world better.”
Her dedication to excellence has earned her numerous accolades, including being recognized as the Young Optometrist of the Year by the California Optometric Association. She has also served as the Rio Hondo Optometric Society's President and is a Pico Rivera Chamber of Commerce board member.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Dimaranan strongly supports early childhood eye care and participates in the InfantSEE® program, offering free vision screenings for infants under one year old. When she’s not in the office, she loves traveling, exploring new places, and spending quality time with her family.
